Random Other Projects
Here you'll find some of the random projects I found myself working on for one reason or another. Anytime I get the chance to work in the shop, I jump at the opportunity, especially when I have an unfinished piece just waiting for that finishing touch.
Backstrap Loom

My good friend came up to me with a project idea to make a backstrap loom. He wanted to work together on this, but then covid hit, so you see it here unfinished. The heddle board with the large vertical pegs is ready to wrap the yarn, as is a few of the loom bars and the batten. Eventually we will complete this project, sand it down and give it a nice finish.
Halloween Decorations

My wife and I really enjoy decorating for Halloween, especially in the yard. Each year, our arsenal of lights and decorations grows. I believe we are up to 45 gravestones and 1000+ lights, including stobe lights and short curciuting porch lights. But this year, my wife wanted to pay homage to her favorite author, Stephen King, with a sign to some of the places from his best works.
Dice Roller

This was a very crudely made impromptu dice roller for my DnD group. Made with spare wood from around the shop, cut and put it together in around 20 minutes. At a later time, I wood burned the names of all the characters in that campaign. I have since improved the design, and will hopefully make that whenever I find myself another DnD group to play with.
Jewelry Shelf
This was a request from my wife. She wanted a place to keep the jewelry that she wore most often, to be used in the bathroom where she gets ready for her day. So I designed and built for her a shelf with a mesh backing to hang her earrings on. The shelf holds our Amazon dot, for jamming out in the shower, and a permanently placed wine glass for her hair accessories. Around the outside are corks, cut in half, with hooks to hang necklaces. Evenly spaced around are random drawer knobs, which make for good places to hang larger items. I gave her this for Valentines Day, as you can see.
